Sun Valley Film Festival

Sun Valley, Idaho has been welcoming the film industry since Averell Harriman opened America's first ski resort in 1936. To celebrate the area’s old school Hollywood heritage and bring it into the 21st century, the inaugural Sun Valley Film Festival was launched in March 2012 and was an immediate success. In 2013, the Sun Valley Film Festival will build on that success with more cutting-edge independent films, premieres, exciting children's programming and previews of new television premiers from National Geographic and others, a closing ceremony with special musical guest and much more. The festival also features a variety of unique awards, such as the One in a Million Award for best film produced for under a million dollar budget and the Zions Bank Gem State Award, given to an Idaho filmmaker whose film best reflects the beauty and diversity of The Gem State. This spring, filmmakers from around the world bring their vision to the Sun Valley Film Festival and you're invited to watch it come into focus. www.sunvalleyfilmfestival.org
